A gable end helps to enclose a pitched roof. The feature provides great functionality as well as an aesthetic appeal. A gable end is designed to help make sure that outside moisture does not damage your walls or your steel roofing. If you think a gable end roof would look good with your home, the Zim Group can gladly help you.
Gable ends are both functional and attractive - they isolate your walls from outside moisture. Zim Group uses quality gable ends and a rigorous installation procedure to ensure solid lifetime performance.
The lower part of the edge strip is nailed Over a 1"x6" board and its lateral face covers the end (facia) board. The overlap is 4-4" and the nailing distance is 20-36"
The roofing tile panels are inserted as far as they will go into the edge strip (i.e. 2" deep). Finishing the roof this way provides a nice, aesthetic appearance and rigid connection between the roofing panels and the edge strip. The strip is connected to the top points of the roof tile using self-tapping screws.
